This study shows the benefits of mechanical enhancement during colonoscopy, which can improve a key quality metric, adenoma detection rate. Colonoscopy is a procedure that is commonly done; our field continues to strive to offer the highest quality exam for our patients, and a key component is adenoma detection rate. Using a mechanical cuff during colonoscopy improves adenoma detection rate and adenoma per colonoscopy rate.
