GIE announces new section- VideoGIE!

Beginning with the August 2013 issue of GIE, the Editorial Team is pleased to announce the launch of VideoGIE! This video-based section will present readers with high-quality videos related to endoscopy used in the diagnosis and management of digestive diseases. VideoGIE is a PubMed-referenced section that we hope will be a valuable resource for all endoscopists. Each article will consist of a video, a short text description, and an image. The videos will be available online at www.giejournal.org, and a QR code will accompany the print version of the article, allowing direct access to view the videos on a mobile device.
VideoGIE
Dr. G.S. Raju and Dr. Todd Baron will serve as the section editors, and they have assembled an experienced Video Editorial Board to help review and select video submissions. We are excited for this new section, which we believe will expand quickly because of the importance of endoscopic video in our clinical practice and scholarly research.

Please consider submitting to VideoGIE at http://ees.elsevier.com/gie/

Submission requirements:

  • a Word file with a description of the video (limited to 200 words)
  • one figure submitted as a .tif or .eps file
  • a video file, no larger than 160MB (file format MP4, MPG, MOV, AVI, or GIF)
  • all videos must include audio in English
  • abstracts or references should not be included

Read the Editorial announcing VideoGIE in the print version on page 225 of the print version or online.
